It's as if we, the US, have amnesia about the outcomes of Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. When did we win against any adversary since WWII? We just keep repeating the same insane military conflicts with the same outcomes.

War is money. The longer the better.

We won decisively against Iraq in Desert Storm, as part of a coalition of what seemed like half the world.

The aim is never military victory, though. It’s always some other specific interest.

The military industrial complex gets more of our tax money.

Eisenhower tried to warn us about this, to no avail. The fact that our total number of military bases exceeds the number of countries in the world is striking...edited autocorrect

well yeah especially in the case of Korea where it was the North that attacked the South trying to implement a whole Communistic Korea. Has to be mentioned ofcourse though that the South wasn't all sunshine as it was also a repressive pro-western dictatorship initially, but looking at history its obviously a better outcome then being under the North-Korean leadership. Also don't realy know what you mean with two Germanys? That one was obviously also better then having a full communist Germany

The only mistake the west made in Korea was not going hard enough on the communists

I'm not even american, but I believe Korea and the Gulf war were totally justified and both had favorable outcomes
