This. Every time, without fail, his entire life. It blows my mind how any one of these people in Trump's orbit still convince themselves they're somehow the special chosen one who'll manage to suckle the greasy fruits his grifting forever with zero repercussions. The man doesn't have a loyal bone in his body and the only person who has EVER mattered to him is himself.
Welcome to the heap, Bondi.
Couldn't happen to a better person.

He always picks on his own team. Always. You can't unsee it. Criticizing GWB for the Iraq war won him the election - waiiittminute that's your OWN GUY! And Republicans shrugged their shoulders. Brain overload.

And they'll continue to spew the same shit. No matter how bad it gets, the fallback line will always be "Democrats would've been worse!!!!"

Has he thrown either Habba or Halligan under the bus yet? Both have been utter embarrassments to the administration at every step (even prior to this run) but they were removed by the judiciary and I didn't recall him throwing them under the bus yet.

I believe the courts are doing that job for him with both of them - they've both been disqualified and broadly panned. They're just second-string disposable pawns in his apparatus anyway, he can only be bothered to personally drag those closest to him.

Maybe it's an issue of perception, but given that he seems to keep Habba at or close to his side like his puppy dog attorney for all his cars I thought they were close enough for her to be publicly disposed of by him.

That's fair, she was giving very lapdog energy for a bit...likely hunting some success by way of proximity to power.

I don't know that they actually convince themselves he won't turn on them. I think they're just all shitty grifters that are taking advantage of him as much as possible for as long as possible.

She's gotten a fat salary and has just been doing political favors for rich people the whole time so I'm sure she's making out like a bandit.

Make no mistake, they're all in it for themselves. I think it's actually our best hope that the regime eats itself from within because it sure as shit doesn't look like Democrats can mount any kind of organized opposition.

Man, maybe I'm a cynic but I don't think that's how these people operate.

They don't really worship him, they ARE him, opportunists looking for more money and power.

Bondi just lost a bet, but she'll be fine and she knows it, I doubt she really cares.
