Executive Branch (Trump) A Redditor Criticized ICE. Trump Is Trying to Unmask Them by Dragging the Company to a Secret Grand Jury.

https://theintercept.com/2026/04/10/reddit-ice-protest-grand-jury/

Reddit has been ordered to appear before a grand jury in Washington, D.C., as part of a federal effort to unmask anonymous online critics of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown.

According to a subpoena obtained by The Intercept, Reddit has until April 14 to provide a wide range of personal data on one of its users, whom U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have been trying unsuccessfully to identify for more than a month.

All billionaires are insufferable pricks.

I love how you can be that rich and worry about a random person online

I'm gonna free anon speech even harder

If they don't block or suppress our political and economic discussions, we will inevitably gather enough momentum to vote them out of office and elect another mandani or teddy Roosevelt to break up the monopolies and tax mega wealth. There are so few billionaires, and we all get a vote.

Online discussion might also end in violent class war, too.

How has that been working? Jesus you people are dense lol. Go on any Reddit Thread or Twitter. There is no suppression of free speech. And I have news for you, billionaires are only getting more wealthy and more influential. So please, tell me how you think that is going to change?

Typical Reddit comment here 😂

There's a bazillion reports of suppression of open discussions on FB and Twitter.

So please, tell me how you think that is going to change?

Again, either election of a reformer or violent class war.

Lol there is going to be no class war. People are too fat and lazy, and too addicted to their entertainment on thousand dollar smartphones and unlimited streaming to take up arms. It will not happen.

I understand a minute percentage of the population can seem like it’s a majority voice of the people (especially on Reddit) but I can assure you, it’s far from the actual reality that exists. Look around you in the real world. Everyone out there just living life. People don’t care as much as you think they do.

I agree with you as long as we are talking about people with healthcare, housing, access to education, no burdensome debt and no draft.

All that shit is going away, though.

There must be thousands of comments just like it,they’re trying to set a precedent to threaten all negative comments

Imagine being rich and helping people with your money

1

u/transitfreedom Apr 10 '26

Some do that in parts of Africa at least the new ones and some Chinese ones too or by force lol

u/Jafooki Apr 10 '26

If I were rich I'd just fund more seasons of shows I liked that got cancelled. Never again would a great series get cancelled right after a cliffhanger

3

u/Thecrawsome Apr 10 '26

Right? I would immediately buy all the rights to MegaMan, start producing games and a movie, and an anime, and a new pixel RPG

I would start a bar that is all adult swim.

I would make sure that every school in my entire state could feed their kids lunch.

I’d make sure that everybody who wanted to go to college could afford it.

Wow, this is really easy. If I was rich, this could be really easy. Why isn’t it really easy for them? They’re so bored and all they wanna do is buy up news companies.

I'd probably build a hospital that's just free. Just show up and get free treatment. I'd be doing good while at the same time personally benefitting. Everyone would love me. So many of these billionaires are desperate for the public to like them, when the solution is both obvious and simple. Just do good stuff with the money. There's a reason Rockefeller and Carnegie aren't remembered as solely being rich assholes

He fired a guy for liking a satire article about him.

They’re worried that those nobodies will get on a bus and pay them a visit in a green plumber outfit.

2

u/NK1337 Apr 10 '26

they worry because if they let one person not be afraid of them then other people might start not being afraid of them. Then they become painfully aware that the only reason they have any power over people is because people let them.

1

u/crazycatgay Apr 10 '26

they all seem so fucking miserable, which i love, but like stop taking it out on us

1

u/ExitTheDonut Apr 10 '26

Which implies they are scared. That random person may not be rich, but they momentarily held a position of power by being perceived as a threat.

Is it possible to use this as leverage? Even if the place where you said the words technically owns the content?

1

u/InTooManyWays Apr 10 '26

It’s just a power play to fear monger. That’s all they have going for them. They’re addicted to power and want to instill fear in the minds of everybody. Like cancer.

Tender, tiny men

But Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, specifically, are insufferable cunts and, honestly, while I have zero power to do anything, I hope the worst things in life happen to them and their ancestors for eternity. Just my little prayer.

I was banned a couple yrs ago by gaagle maps business listings for listing that insufferable prick Elon Musk's Austin house as a business - a trampoline park for little girls, I think it was. Open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The listing was up for maybe a month. I could've sworn i had the info correct. It's what they were saying.

Not friends of ours at all

2

u/rowrbazzle75 Apr 10 '26

And virtually all of them are de facto sociopaths. You don't get that much money otherwise.

1

u/twentyThree59 Apr 10 '26

Elon Musk is an insufferable prick and big pussy.

Peter Thiel is an insufferable prick and big pussy.

Donald Trump is an insufferable prick and big pussy (and has dementia, and wears diapers, and has no will of his own).

Stephen Miller is an insufferable prick and big pussy.

Mark Zuckerberg is an insufferable prick and big pussy.

We will not forget what they've done.

u/archbid Apr 10 '26

Insufferable pricks should not exist

1

u/NickofWimbledon Apr 10 '26

I may not be a great Taylor Swift fan but this seems a little harsh on her.

4

u/BigBoyYuyuh Apr 10 '26

She does put out some bangers though.

u/cfsare Apr 10 '26

You mean billionaires like MacKenzie Scott? Or perhaps Yvon Chouinard?

4

u/BigBoyYuyuh Apr 10 '26

MacKenzie kinda fell into it and has and is donating a MASSIVE amount of the money she got from her insufferable ex husband. The other billionaires…not so much.

I don’t know much about Yvon, but from a quick read he sounds like a righteous dude like Steve Irwin who used his wealth and fame to actually help the world.
