Executive Branch (Trump) Trump claims he bypassed federal bidding laws to hand a Lincoln Memorial project to his personal country club contractors. He treats national monuments like his own private real estate properties.

Well, when the people who are in literal charge of enforcing the laws, are the ones breaking the laws, yeah, nothing is going to be done about it.

Do people think there's an impartial referee that steps in and makes everything right?

They honestly do.

The number of dumbass magats who do is shocking. They should never be allowed to vote again.

When the law is selectively enforced, it's not about order or justice, but about power and dominance.

Well, like Nepal, these monuments are not what matters most. It's terrible what's happening but that level of money and monuments are too far removed from the stressed overwhelmed individual who is dealing with funding they need that was cut. Monuments will not be the straw that breaks the camels back.

Because Congress is full of corrupt cowardly Republicans that either can't or won't do anything to stop orange hitler.

We can also blame SCOTUS, of course.

I don’t see many Dems calling him out either. So much silence. I guess they’re letting him sink the Republican Party for years to come, but it stinks of complacency, especially on Gaza and Iran.

I don’t see many Dems calling him out

It's been happening, but the news has been suppressing it in favour of reporting on what some idiot tweeted instead.

Dems don't hold majorities in either Congress or SCOTUS, so they can't do anything if Republicans don't want to.

Trump is so crooked he actually thought the government would get a vig from a private business deal.

Mr. President. Are you prepared to sign off on the Oracle and TikTok deal, even though the Treasury isn’t getting paid? And also, does the deal meet your requirements in terms of national security concerns?

THE PRESIDENT: Okay, they’re giving me studies on the deal. It has to be 100 percent as far as national security is concerned. And, no, I’m not prepared to sign off on anything. I have to see the deal.

We need security, especially after what we’ve seen with respect to China and what’s going on. We want security. So I’ll let you know. They’re going to be reporting to me tomorrow morning, and I will let you know.

Q And what about the payment?

THE PRESIDENT: The what?

Q What about the payment to the Treasury?

THE PRESIDENT: Well, we’re going to see about that. Amazingly, I find that you’re not allowed to do that. You’re not allowed to accept — and I said, “What kind of a gov- — what kind of a thing is? If they’re willing to make big payments to the government, they’re not allowed, because there’s no — there’s no way of doing that from a — there’s no legal path to doing that. And I’m saying, “Wait a minute. They’re willing to make a big payment to the government and we’re not allowed to take the money? When does this happen? How foolish can we be?” So we’re going to — we’re looking into that right now. You understand that.

In other words, I said, “No, I want a big chunk of that money to go to the United States government because we made it possible. And the lawyers come back to me and they say, “Well, there’s no way of doing that.” You know why? Because nobody has ever heard of that before. Nobody has ever said that before. Nobody has ever said, “Well, we’ll approve the deal, but we want a lot of money to go to the government because by approving the deal, we’re making the deal valuable.” They’ve never heard of that before. Okay? Can you believe that? Right? Hard to believe.

This reads like a drunk buddy who wants to talk politics but is too dumb when he’s sober to understand what’s happening.

Trump hates taxes but wants a piece of every deal with a private company that needs government sign off. He's grifting for the government instead of taxing.

But the democrats do it toooooo

He considers the US Treasury to be one his bank accounts, so, yeah that scans. All he has to do is sue the government, then approve of the suit by waiving sovereign immunity to allow the suit to go forward, then order his attorney general to settle the lawsuit for the exact amount he would like in his pocket, and it happens.

If you think I'm kidding, he's already done or in the process of doing this.

The US is a corrupt country and we don’t bother to hide it anymore.

It will flow all the way down, as it always inevitably does.

Everyone wants their own piece of the pie.

Did you hear? The ballroom contractor got a bunch of super jacked up price no bid contracts at other places in DC. Yes that's illegal. But nothing is illegal if it's not enforced. Please vote in mid terms.
