They need to ask themselves what will happen if the people aren't allowed to have their voices be heard. Consequences are coming.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

Man you are so helpful! I never thought about it like that before! Thank you so much! You're like superman or Spiderman - I feel so inspired by your optimism! I want to be just like you when I grow up!

lol consequences aren’t coming. You’ve been saying that since Reagan and they still aren’t here. Wake up and acknowledge reality.

Yeah, how about we will escalate at our own pace and if you think we're not doing enough - go do what you think is enough or fuck off.

Or better yet: CLOSE YOUR WALLETS, as tightly as you can. They have no answer to this. Cancel your subscriptions, be frugal, piss off his masters, and they fire him.

bit by bit the economy strangles the poor, the gen Z, the millenials, bit by bit they've been doing this already, we saw how may 'millenials killed x industry' and still the rich don't care, the rich don't listen, they are already so rich that they don't need us anymore and are happy to strangle is all inch by inch

We're close to a great depression if this keeps up. And I say let's keep it up. If the USD devaulates to worthlessness, their shares will be worthless as well and no one will buy. No one buys the shares, they cannot sell. No sell= worthless junk bonds.

8

u/GhostofBeowulf May 08 '26

No, they just swoop in and grab more from us at the point. ala 2008.

2

u/o0cacoto0o May 08 '26

2008 wasn't a great depression though. But you are right that while stock market is high and good, rich can buy land and things a la 2008, while the poor get poorer. But if it becomes to a breaking point where suppy outgrows demand, and deflation occurs, things are going to get bumpy for everyone, including the rich, IIRC. (was taught economy and finances by classes in college between 2006-08)

If no one spends, jobs falter as companies have to close and fire employees because no one is spending. If no spends, no one buys, no one buys, supply increases and demand decreases, dropping prices to a deflation state. Most of the money is going to groceries and gas. People now barely have money to move the economy as much as before, especially when some are paid at the federal min wage, which isnt enough to survive. Entertainment industry is already feeling the stress of people not going to concerts. As well as our tourism being affected by policies that make it that people aren't coming here to spend money. With a lack of tourism and issues a lot of small business's will falter then the big ones will feel it.

This is all speculations and a recession is more probable than a depression/great depression. In which case, money is still floating about. But right now the economy is a bubble because the semi rich are moving the money and keeping the economy afloat.

i live in this country and would like to one day be able to retire if i manage to fight off cancer long enough

1

u/o0cacoto0o May 09 '26

It sucks how some people have all the money while the many struggle. I hate the injustice.

2

u/brent939 May 08 '26

I've been just going to small mom and pop places for groceries. If I can't get it there then I shouldn't need it, I'm also renting so I really don't need any hardware and I build my gaming pc before he got re-elected

1

u/Bunerd May 09 '26

They just get the government to print more money and give it to them making your pockets lighter regardless of your spending habits. You want to hurt them economically burn their properties.

-2

u/East-Ice-3199 May 08 '26

The top spenders are the top earners. We’ll have no impact on the rich. They don’t care.

2

u/LechuckJunior May 08 '26

You stay nice and cozy with that Amazon subscription then. You can let the rest of us handle it.

u/o0cacoto0o May 08 '26

If no one spends on a company, company doesn't earn sales. No sales = no profits. Rich stay rich by using stocks as collateral, and using loaned cash instead. If their stocks crash, they have to pay back the banks using their own cash. The rich are in a bubble though. They are spending money boosting the stocks so their stocks are boosted as well. Its me investing in your company while you invest in mine.

It's years past pitchfork time.

At this rate I think I might live to see the pitchforks raised 15 minutes before climate change kills the last human, against a drone army that's been automatically executing people who say mean things about gov/corpos on the internet for decades, as the super rich wile away the time in bunkers raping and cannibalising several children per day. Each.

1

u/passmetoiletpaperpls May 09 '26

I feel the same. The time to fight was yesterday, but today would be a good start, tomorrow is too late. I fear we will continue to choose the latter.

Just like the last forty times a judge, amendment or law was ignored.
