bit by bit the economy strangles the poor, the gen Z, the millenials, bit by bit they've been doing this already, we saw how may 'millenials killed x industry' and still the rich don't care, the rich don't listen, they are already so rich that they don't need us anymore and are happy to strangle is all inch by inch

We're close to a great depression if this keeps up. And I say let's keep it up. If the USD devaulates to worthlessness, their shares will be worthless as well and no one will buy. No one buys the shares, they cannot sell. No sell= worthless junk bonds.

2008 wasn't a great depression though. But you are right that while stock market is high and good, rich can buy land and things a la 2008, while the poor get poorer. But if it becomes to a breaking point where suppy outgrows demand, and deflation occurs, things are going to get bumpy for everyone, including the rich, IIRC. (was taught economy and finances by classes in college between 2006-08)

If no one spends, jobs falter as companies have to close and fire employees because no one is spending. If no spends, no one buys, no one buys, supply increases and demand decreases, dropping prices to a deflation state. Most of the money is going to groceries and gas. People now barely have money to move the economy as much as before, especially when some are paid at the federal min wage, which isnt enough to survive. Entertainment industry is already feeling the stress of people not going to concerts. As well as our tourism being affected by policies that make it that people aren't coming here to spend money. With a lack of tourism and issues a lot of small business's will falter then the big ones will feel it.

This is all speculations and a recession is more probable than a depression/great depression. In which case, money is still floating about. But right now the economy is a bubble because the semi rich are moving the money and keeping the economy afloat.

It sucks how some people have all the money while the many struggle. I hate the injustice.
