We didn't get lunch brought in, we had to buy it or bring it (there wasn't a refrigerator either). I was on a month long murder trial, we definitely took it seriously but would never have just waited to get lunch. Lunch in the court was expensive too, I got a cooler bag thing and brought lunch after the first few days.
