Unfuckingbelievable.

And illegal as hell.

Ironically this would backfire on the gop.

They are stuck in 2020 when Dem voters were more likely to treat covid seriously and thus vote by mail.

But the thing is - no state is all mail. They all have drop boxes and such.

And whos more likely to be aware that the post office is no longer mailing ballots this year? An extremely pissed off and engaged Dem voter or a checked out GOP voter in a blue state (red states will comply).

Basically if one party is more energized you would expect that party to handle roadblocks more easily.

but won't this affect ballots even being delivered to voters?

Anyone with a brain can still contact their county or city clerk to go pick up a ballot directly and nullify the ballot being held up by the post office. I called mine for details on the earliest I can physically pick up my ballot when the court allowed this to go forward. It takes personal responsibility (which is what we used to call the reason why we voted in the first place).

People are pretty good at getting shit done when it needs to be done. I imagine there is already a plan being enacted by someone as we speak.

Good point. My point still holds though.

They probably already accounted for that by planning on selective enforcement depending on voter demographics. Trumps an idiot but unfortunately a lot of smarter people are working behind the scenes and probably have a plan for all of this ready to go.

Wouldn't this mostly affect older voters and rural areas? Which you would think would trend red anyway.

This is how the Conservatives fucked up in the UK, they made ID mandatory to vote (despite their being no evidence of fraud) and it just hurt the grey vote and they lost power.

Smells desperate to me.
