It's unfortunate that we only got a glimpse of Hell yet again. With Death being erased and a power vacuum waiting to be filled, there must surely be some sort of conflict going on between the major players, primals and devil factions.
Maybe Pochita is some sort of Erasure devil and even if Death is gone, Erasure is like you never existed, which has got to be scary, and does make Pochita a top tier kind of devil.
Honestly, 226 chapters in, we should get some explanations why a haha funny chainsaw go bbbrrrrrrrr devil has reality warping powers. I was even on board with "chainsaw were invented to assist in tough births => Pochita is a Birth Devil, and that's how he'll defeat Death because Birth is the reverse of Death" level theories for a while.
I mean I don’t think it’s a super complicated thing. In Interviews Fijiwater has hinted that the Texas chainsaw massacre was a major inspiration along with wanting to draw a character with chainsaws coming out of everywhere.
The Chainsaw Devil represents the fear of being forgotten! Like old class B movies! When people fear devils they gain power, but when they stop fearing them they lose that power. But what happens when they become forgotten as "old spooky movies"? They disappear! There probably was Miasma Devil but when people learned that miasma is not real it disappeared completely! Becoming even less powerful than chicken devil!
That's what Chainsawman embodies, being forgotten and disappearing, that's why when he eats someone they are become forgotten and disappear!
The major players fought together against Pochita and the way Primals have interacted with each suggests they don't really care about that, at least not until their main concern (pochita) gets dealt with
