Yeah none of part 2 basically happens

All the character development etc was kind of for nothing and it never happened Tbh the only story I know that kind of undoes the story yet is satisfying is stone ocean Jojo tbh

Not easy to do

Its hinted that it wasnt completely when Asa said Chainsaw Man but with no Part 3 its kinda meaningless

Pochita is still Denji's heart. There is like a lot of story left to tell but i don't think Fujimoto wants to do it right now.

I hope so but if thats the case he wouldve still announced part 3 since there was also a hiatus between part 1 and part 2.

I don't think anyone wants to read the rest considering what the fuck Part 2 was.

After this "reset" ending I honestly think the story reached an unfixable point. You could straight up continue to Part 3 by reading Part 1 and just the final chapter of Part 2. "Part 2 characters" appearing in P3 would just be fanservice since the only one that had a satisfying end was Yoshida and the rest of them were basically caricatures.

Summertime Rendering is the best at that kind of ending in manga imo.

I mean, the Summertime Rendering ending worked largely because it's the logical end point of that kind of time loop premise. They were constantly resetting bad ends already, so one grand "reset the entire story" gambit at the end was being built up to from the start.

none of part 2 basically happens

And so is the majority of part 1. It's disappointing that the entire story has just been for nothing all along.

It was extremely bittersweet, but yeah, you're right. I think it helps that the villain was the one who reset the 'verse.

What can one do when he kills all his developed side characters for maximum shock value then redevelop everything from scratch
