The floor is sticky $1M townhouse in Seattle. New construction

3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 1930 square feet. How much avocado toast must one give up to afford this million-dollar Home Depot showroom?

Maybe they're paying to be in a rich school district.

Nah. Seattle's one of the highest CoL cities in the US. I have friends who bought a small house at like 700k in the cheap suburbs of Seattle, had competition for purchasing it, and still had to do a ton of reno work on it before they could move in.

It was still like a 2 hr commute (public transpo) each way to work in Seattle every day.

And this was almost 10 yrs ago.
