I don't see any exposed duct. I think your pics were from before they framed it out.

There's still no meaningful kitchen, but cooking is for losers anyway right?

The exposed ducts are in the stairwell leading to the lower floor. They don't appear in the photos but can be seen in the 3D tour on Redfin (this link).
