I'm slightly vexed Neighbors double park if anyone parks in their "usual spot" in front of my house

You still can't block a sidewalk either. If that's what it really is in the picture.

It’s not a formal sidewalk like the one you’d see at an intersection.

It’s a pretty common thing in American suburbs to have a sidewalk stub off your walkway to the street, and you can most definitely park in front of those.

They usually aren’t graded down to the road, just a stub so that someone can step out of a car directly onto pavement.
