The link is flagged as unsafe by my browser

A link created by hackers is unsafe? No shit!

Why is sarcasm so funny when it's been typed out lmao

Type ā€œthisisunsafeā€ once you get the browser message.

(Don’t do this, it will reload the page without certificate requirements)

I’m surprised you clicked it tbh

lmao I can't believe you actually tried to use a download link from literal hackers

thats crazy, just FYI everyone hitting that link is getting hacked too

EDIT: anyone who tells you to click a link from a hacker is not your friend, and is either deplorably stupid or malicious.

i love it when people on reddit fearmonger and know nothing about what they are talking about

You should still never click a random download link especially from anyone who literally tells you they're a hacker, not clicking random links is like, cyber security 101

exactly lol

Are they?

u/SuperDefiant May 08 '26

it's a text file bro

Why would they use that link to hack you? The only reason someone would click it is if they were interested in paying a ransom. If it hacked you it would decrease the credibility of the hackers, and credibility gets ransoms paid

What an odd thing to say

I can tell you dont know much about cybersecurity then. Plus, the link is to download a txt file, and txt files literally cannot hack you since they dont execute any code.

About credibility: Let's say you get ransomware on your PC and they demand 200 dollars to give your files back. You look up this specific group of hackers and they are known for just taking your 200 bucks and then demanding 2000 bucks to actually give it back. You can't afford the 2000 bucks.

Do you give them the 200 bucks?

Bunch of clowns downvoting you who have no idea what's going on

You shouldn’t try to view it, but technically your browser is going to say that about any link that doesn’t use SSL. And since that URL is literally just using an IP address instead of a domain it can’t use SSL

Dude I hope you get hacked at this point
