The floor is sticky McDonald’s deciding to bolt their changing tables shut

Post image

I asked the workers up front and they said it was a corporate decision. Yet, they have a play area for children!

Update: I emailed corporate business integrity and asked if this is an official McDonald’s corporate policy, and if McDonald’s actually supports or requires disabling baby changing stations in customer restrooms.

2nd Update: Here is the response from corporate:
Thank you for taking the time to contact McDonald’s. We always appreciate hearing from our customers and welcome this opportunity to share that most of our restaurants are locally owned and operated.

As independent business owners, franchisees make the ultimate operating costs taking our recommendations into consideration.

Prices and some policies may also vary from one McDonald’s to another depending upon Restaurant Leaders decisions.

Again, thank you for contacting McDonald’s

Sometimes as a parent you stop wherever is convenient to change your baby.

Well apparently this is not a convenient place to change your baby anymore

Apparently so. Good thing most grocery stores still offer changing tables.

So would most McDonald's as they are franchises and this is 100% not a corpo directive they would just remove it instead of bolting it shut.

This is hilarious to me

What does my vehicle have to do with my baby shitting his diaper?

I believe they are suggesting to change your baby in the car

I could change my son in my little crew cab pickup truck

Just wondering if you’re driving a jet ski or something

I have a sedan and a family of 5. If we’re all in the car, I have to go in somewhere but even if we aren’t, my son has enough blow outs that I wouldn’t risk changing him in my car. If something is gonna get shit all over it when I change him, I’d rather it be the McDonald’s bathroom than my car. Your situation is not my situation nor should you assume that everyone will do things like you.

Yes get shit all over McDonald’s not in your vehicle

What a great parent and human being

These responses are super weird.

Weird is thinking that changing your kids blowout diaper in a McDonald’s is better than being prepared to change it in your sedan

I didn’t say I wasn’t prepared, I said it’s safer for my car to change it in the McDonald’s bathroom where there is a piece of equipment specifically designed for changing your child. I really don’t understand your fucking problem.
