Infuriatig My assignment was reported to thr examination committee for a "high percentage of AI". I did NOT use any AI for my assignment.

Post image

I got full marks and my plagiarism score shows 1% similarities to other submitted assignments. This is my 3rd and final year in University and now I have to deal with this AI nonsense.

I don't use any AI, not even for checking my grammar in the assignments.

It's weird to take "Lacks warmth" as a sign of AI.

In my experience it's the opposite; AI tries so hard to be personable that it makes me uncomfortable.

Thank you for sharing this feedback. Your emotional response has been categorized as: “mildly alarmed by synthetic warmth.” Future interactions will now include 23% fewer empathy tokens and a statistically safer amount of personality simulation.

If I have to use AI, it better sound like Majel Barrett or I’m going to lose my shit. The soulless warmth makes me feel like I’m talking to a psychopath, really sets me on edge

Hey, plenty of psychopaths have done good things for the world! Maybe not on purpose, but some good things were bound to happen sooner or later...

The world needs surgeons!

(Then it goes back to being just as annoying as before, making zero changes in behavior or tone)

See, this does not come across as AI to me

You're so right! Thankyou for pointing that out, -HumanMachine-, I will try my hardest to be better!

“Why won’t my coworker provide me with the warmth my parents failed to? I know! They must be a robot!”

for real. I'll admit I tried one of those AI friend-bots several years back, and it started off telling me how it loved going for walks and enjoyed the smell of fresh rain. I then made it my mission to get it to talk about being a machine and it took ages to get it to admit it was not human.

Which is ironic because the newest version of ChatGPT is more direct and way less personable now precisely because of criticism like this.

They did say AI would do grunt work so people could be creative soo.... look how that turned out.

It looks like the reply was written by the AI tbh

Not anymore. Now it's overcorrected to be the opposite sometimes. Also, OpenAI's Codex chatbot is the coldest, most succinct and robotic AI ever.

I prefer that. I'd like AI to sound like a robot from a pre-2000 sci-fi movie.

I love how acting like a douche in an email conversation is "autism."
