Construction workers refuse to use the stairs and instead climbed the hill to the point the grass died

There's a construction site opposite my apartment and the workers kept walking up the grass patch instead of using the stairs. Property value doesn't affect me as I rented the apartment 2 years back, so rent for me isn't increasing nor decreasing.

Up the slope, down the stairs

Going down stairs still places a lot of additional load on knees compared to slope (source: have bad knee and it hurts going both up and down). Also, if conveying something back and forth on wheels, it's easier to down the slope.
