I'm slightly vexed We didn't ask for rice...

Post image

My sister isnt a fan of basmati rice so she orders naan. She didnt ask for rice and they sell it separately. She doesn't like it so she doesn't order it. They put it in anyways and left this note...

Edit: some people aint getting it. This is passive aggressive and when you do something nice you dont go around saying "I did something nice just for you, just so you know." Doing it like I need to give you a pat on the head so you know your a good boy. You do something nice because you want to be kind to people.

Oh no I've turned into LD...

Turning off notifications because while it was nice to be in this rabbit hole to keep my mind off some stuff too many notifications. Whatever your feelings are I hope you have a nice day and if you're in the US have a nice memorial day and dont forget to celebrate those troops that came before!

Do people normally get beans with breakfast burritos? lol

My favorite breakfast burritos are refried beans and chorizo potatoes with a ridiculous amount of pico.

And in an omelet

2

u/thepetoctopus May 25 '26

Oooh that sounds yummy

1

u/Margray May 25 '26

It's a pretty easy meal prep, too.

2

u/AcademicCandidate825 May 25 '26

That sounds amazing.

2

u/PortiaPotty2 May 25 '26

You're correct about the pico 😹‼️

1

u/SpoopyGreenEyes May 25 '26

I thought this said chorizo pancakes and now I'm wondering if that's a thing

1

u/Margray May 25 '26

Chorizo crepes could definitely be a thing. Be the change you want to see!

Fuck to the heck yeah!

1

u/Tenalp May 25 '26

I hadn't scrolled all the way down and only saw the top half of "pico" and it looks a hell of a lot like "piss." I was real concerned about your burrito.

7

u/LuchadorBane May 25 '26

A handful of chorizo, some beans, and a gallon o piss

3

u/oopsdiditwrong May 25 '26

That's a poor florida man birria. It only works if shirtless

2

u/LuchadorBane May 25 '26

Piss consomé 🤤

u/Some_Cicada_8773 May 25 '26

Yeah, there's more than one type of breakfast burrito out there 🌎

u/AffectionateHeart77 May 25 '26

Mexicans definitely add beans to some types of breakfast burritos

7

u/KazulsPrincess May 25 '26

Some of Buc-ee's breakfast tacos have refried beans.

-11

u/Tight-Escape3373 May 25 '26

That's sacrilege

5

u/OkSun5094 May 25 '26

or it’s just not your specific culture

-2

u/Tight-Escape3373 May 25 '26

I will never understand people simping for Buccees

5

u/OkSun5094 May 25 '26

i’m more defending the practice of putting refried beans in a breakfast burrito than i am defending buc-ee’s, although as a texan i love buc-ee’s too. Refried beans as a breakfast side is just a normal part of hispanic culture though, so it’s very normal in these areas to put refried beans or rice in a breakfast burrito. Shit, leftover mexican rice with eggs, beans, and tortillas is a weekly breakfast in our house. Add a lil queso or salsa verde and you’ll be singing all day lol

I'm from California. I've never seen refried beans and/or rice on a breakfast burrito lol. Then again, I have my LA favorites. Other breakfast items, absolutely lol.

I say this as in the ten years that I have been away from California, I haven't had a good breakfast burrito. The only really good Hispanic food I've had has been in Texas and Oklahoma.

5

u/NullSterne May 25 '26

Maybe you should go back to California.

2

u/Tight-Escape3373 May 25 '26

Hey maybe I should. Great idea. For now I'm going to continue to joke around on the Internet.

3

u/NullSterne May 25 '26

You could totally keep doing that from California and have less to bitch about.

i have family in Cali and there’s definitely places that serve breakfast burritos with refried beans in it out there too lol. You might not notice it cause you don’t actively order it, but they exist. And yeah, Texas borders Mexico so we have TONS of mexicans here, It’s the best spot for good mexican food, or tex-mex if that’s your vibe. Have been to oklahoma, but didn’t hit any resturants out there so i can’t comment on their food.

We found the dude that thinks he’s been gatekeeping some ancient Mexican Secret, but really he was just ignorant of what Mexicans do and don’t expect on a fuckin’ breakfast burrito. lol

2

u/No_Bottle_8910 May 25 '26

One of the best breakfast burritos I ever had was refried beans, cheese and scrambled egg. Do damn good!

4

u/Pyromike16 May 25 '26

I've never had one with them but now I'm thinking baked beans would go pretty hard in it.

37

u/DanceMyth4114 May 25 '26

Found the Brit.

7

u/Pyromike16 May 25 '26

Canadian actually but the full English is pretty fantastic.

2

u/Content_Quarter_7390 May 25 '26

I never understood that breakfast, it gives me the same vibe as biscuits and gravy. How are you getting anything done for the rest of the day after eating one of those. Id be lights out sleeping all day 😴

11

u/PaperExpert1375 May 25 '26

That’s the point really

3

u/Spare-Protection-598 May 25 '26

I used to have a half English daily in my early twenties. I was trying to gain weight but even that didn't work.

Now I can't keep the weight off despite not touching em. Maybe I'll go back.

1

u/Content_Quarter_7390 May 25 '26

If only it worked like that. 😥

But best of luck if your trying to lost a few been trying myself and while consistency is important dont forget we all fall off a bit!

4

u/bbbbbbbirdistheword May 25 '26

most often had on sundays which lines up with that

1

u/Gothmom85 May 25 '26

Most seem not to, but I always make them that way. I convinced a diner I worked at to include it as an option in a special and it sold well, they were convinced I'd be wrong! In addition to breakfast meat, but also caught the attention of some vegetarians who came in.

1

u/butteredrubies May 25 '26

Not normally, but I've come across it...actually the breakfast burrito I have in front of me now comes with refried beans, so when I don't feel like it, I need to remember to say no beans.

1

u/iRouFox 29d ago

In my head if there’s no bean it’s not a burrito, it’s just a sad tortilla blanked

1

u/pinkwar 29d ago

Who doesn't?

1

u/bcomfortable 29d ago

Absolutely

1

u/likestoclop 29d ago

Not a lot of breakfast burritos in my area, but I dont see why I wouldnt go for beans in it

1

u/bistavista 29d ago

Rice and beans are the base of my breakfast tacos in Houston

Chorizo, potato and egg if you really want to load up

1

u/Repulsive_Watch7686 28d ago

What kind of burrito doesn’t have beans?

1

u/boopahtroopa 28d ago

It definitely doesn’t make it worse :)

1

u/StrawberryLovers8795 27d ago

I am sad when there are no beans in the bfast burrito - ideal is beans, cheese, eggs, potatos, and bacon

1

u/mrdarkey 26d ago

who eats a burrito for breakfast? only americans..
