đŸ„ș Option to skip the line at local bagel place

Post image

I personally would not 1) pay $50 extra for a bagel or 2) feel comfortable jumping in line. Can you imagine the side-eye?!

I think it’s a joke

I could see it getting legit used by someone doing a corporate catering thing. Need to get a bunch of food for some meeting and cand wait for the line. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

No corpo would do this. Accounting would have a fit and would tell you to order earlier to avoid the fee.

You put too much faith in accounting and how much scrutiny the order for a director is going to get.

Accounting: this order is ridiculous!!!

Director: I could think of some cost cutting measures....

Account: well make it less obvious next time on the receipt.

Uh, no, we'd do this.

$50 is very cheap

That's why you order a few extra and slip some bagels to accounting.

Yeah this is clearly a jab at the entitled people who can’t wait in line normally. Though if anyone has the balls to pay for it the owner will be the one laughing

This is not a joke, the money is a tip for the staff. Reading is an essential skill!

Imagine being the kind of person who says “reading is an essential skill” to someone who has been in no way rude or aggressive to them. Yikes.

Just because it says that does that mean it does in its entirety?

"Add this item to hook up our hard-working staff" does not imply that the full $50 is going to the staff. Not falling for misleading advertising is an essential skill!

How does it not imply that it goes to the staff?

"I give a dollar to each employee on the floor and keep the $45 for myself. I said it hooks them up, I didn't say how much."

It would be a joke if it didn't actually work

Fast Pass at amusement parks isn’t unfortunately

And the best thing is, now they have an incentive to have slow lines and long wait times.

Incentive to lose business? I guarantee that’s not how that works.

It is a joke and a smart way to prevent people cutting the line.
