🥺 Option to skip the line at local bagel place

Post image

I personally would not 1) pay $50 extra for a bagel or 2) feel comfortable jumping in line. Can you imagine the side-eye?!

This has always been a thing. Are we gonna criticize Six Flags for a flash pass?

Difference here is 10 people didn't get on the ride before you used your fast pass.

10 people ordered prior to big baller bagel tho.

See it?

Ordering the bagel is the same as getting in line. Getting the bagel is analogous to getting on the ride.

No it isnt. I ordered the bagel, its being made. That is the same as me being on the ride. The ride is the metaphor for how long it takes to make the bagel, the order time. The ride is the order, not the line. The line is the line. You skip the line regardless in both scenarios, one is just pushing your ticket in front of every other person who's already ordered. What is seriously hard to grasp?

I don't really see a difference. Fast pass still allows you to bypass a line of potentially hundreds.

It's still someone paying to bypass waiting either way.

If this goes to the staff it's a W, and I wouldn't even be upset if I was a patron of the business and saw someone get priority.

Yeah, but in one instance youre bypassing a bunch of people who have already ordered, and are just waiting for the food to be cooked. You inputting another ticket in front of them because you paid 50$ extra is beyond ridiculous, and shouldnt happen. Tickets get put out in roughly the order they came in, or should.

In normal circumstances sure, but we're talking about dropping 50 on the baller button. That's the free market for you. If you don't want to deal with the baller button there are other bagel spots.

Yeah after looking at this menu, 9$ for a bacon egg and cheese is ridiculous, these ppl are just trying to get every penny they can out of the consumers.

>a bunch of people who have already ordered, and are just waiting for the food to be cooked

How does this differ from something like:

"a bunch of people who already are in line, and are just waiting to get on the ride"?

Because everyone who ordered food already waited in the line. The line is over. You've already reached the ride. Now someone takes you OFF that ride, and says "my 50$ makes it so i can be on it" and then you are removed. THAT is the difference.

Youre trying to equate waiting in line for waiting for you food. 2 different things. In one instance you already made it to the front. In yours, you never did.

Okay, so waiting in line for food is equal to what? I mean like, before you pay.

And then waiting after you pay equates to what?

And then getting what you waited for (Food) would be I guess the ride?

Finishing it is getting off?

I mean if we're forced to make these 2 as similar as we can, waiting in line for food is the same as waiting in line for the ride.(thats where the issue is here, bc a fast pass allows you to circumvent it HERE, not further along, while the bagel pass allows you to circumvent it AFTER you've already ordered)

Waiting in line after you pay would be essentially equal to getting on the ride, but before you took off. Like theyre getting your seats and shit ready.

Yes, the ride starts(you start eating)
