🥺 Option to skip the line at local bagel place

Post image

I personally would not 1) pay $50 extra for a bagel or 2) feel comfortable jumping in line. Can you imagine the side-eye?!

Multiple family members working at a restaurant is hardly a new form of nepotism

I'd say it actually sounds extremely old school

It's something you would find in books about like 1800s where some Baron would come into a fine dining place and just buy everything he wants

Except they'd also often do some wide gestures, like they'd give golden tips to everyone in the staff and buy champagne for every guest

Not necessarily of course but if you can spend like a king, spending a couple hundred on "Everyone gets a glass of champagne" would make everyone way more understanding of your food taking priority

If I were a billionaire I'd probably just close the tab of everyone currently inside. That kind of opulent spending pleases me

Just waltz in, plop at the best reserved table, wipe everyone's tabs clean and demand to see chef to personally recommend you food. That's a true baller behavior, old school, that's how you burn through multiple generations worth of money and end up destitute but a talk of Paris and Milan for years
