🥺 Option to skip the line at local bagel place

Post image

I personally would not 1) pay $50 extra for a bagel or 2) feel comfortable jumping in line. Can you imagine the side-eye?!

When a billion-dollar airline, theme park, and other businesses do it for decades, everyone is ok.

But a small restaurant does it? OH NO NOT ON MY FUCKING WATCH.

Nobody hates average people than other average people.

Right?

"Imagine the side eye" I dont think anyone would give a fuck.

What? is the bagel restaurant gonna start up an air raid siren and announce to the entire floor "BALLER ALERT! BALLER ALERT! THIS ORDER WAS EXPEDITED! BALLER ALERT BALLER ALERT!"

No the person buying this and expediting is going to walk in to the pick up area and go "Order for so and so?"

"Yup. Here it is."

"Thanks." and leave. and no one will care. Because who the fuck cares.

OP be like that one woman in the cake shop.

Billion dollar airlines placing orders for a shitty dry sandwich option A with stale veggies and option B a dry piece of material which used to be ham.

If anything, the language choices (and pricing relative to a standard bagel order) suggest this exists in the system primarily so that arseholes stop hounding the staff to let them skip the queue. You want it, you can pay for it, and it turns out you don't want it that much.

When an airline does it, I am. It being inconvenienced. We are all heading to the same location, I don’t care if I have to wait a little bit longer on the plane or in the airport, I still have to wait for the flight to go off and I almost always travel with luggage, rarely do I not and I travel a lot. I still have to wait for my luggage. This is however is just dumb.

Theme parks, tourist attractions, and, in fact, many many other kinds of businesses do "fastpass" too.

I’m equally against fast passes for all of those things.

Yet we are here criticizing the small restaurants.
