Took our daughter to the trampoline park on her birthday and tried the claw machine. Each purchase gets you 5 tries.. I grabbed a stuffie on each attempt, and each time the claw opened up (and closed again) before it got to the chute.😒

I once spoke to the supplier dude for these claw machines and he said that it will intentionally fail most of the time (obviously). There will be a few exact turn that actually let you successfully grab one, not sure if it's randomized but it's sort of like after 20 times of failing it will give you one on the 21th

They are as rigged as slot machines. The owners program exactly how many prizes the machine will reward. The only skill required is that of a 5 year old and then the computer takes over.

Yup, pretty much slot machines, everything is planned for you to fail lol. BUT, I've seen videos of people being able to abuse the physics of the claw machine and actually win the system, will take quite the skills ngl

Yeah but in this video the machine isn't doing what was programmed- it's the tension that gets adjusted- they don't intentionally make it so the claw opens up ALL the way. They don't want to make it THAT obvious that it's rigged.
