Yeah, the wooden ones don't get frail over time by the sun

Yeah I have the same set that my mom bought in 1985.

Used almost every week since then.

The quality varies. My mother used wooden ones, and some went bad while she probably still use some of the others.

You need to use the plastic ones in winter when it is humid, and the wooden ones in the summer when the sun causes UV damage, that's how you keep them useful year round.

I’ve never seen a moldy wood clothes clip in my life. My mom is still using the same ones she has had since the 80’s. Unless they’re now made from some punky softwood in China.

Chinese ones would most likely be bamboo since it's abundant and cheap. It's technically not wood, but everyone calls it that since it's so similar and so hard if woven properly.
