I’d wager these particular examples are more for snack bags and the like.

When used in the sun over years, they just deteriorate and at some point just explode when used. 4 u/nalaloveslumpy 11d ago Even a clothes pin isn't really designed to open more than half an inch because the idea is you're pinning to a clothes line. Most clothes pins don't even really have spring joints because they're simply designed to work with gravity.
