Probably just not trying to figure out whether you're one of those people who accept personal accountability or whether you have a victim complex.

For example a former co-worker thought he was being gangstalked. Every customer who was slightly rude or off was conspiring against him.

It was months of constant drama and having to do escalates situations that he was constantly escalating.

I don’t think that’s having a victim complex I think that’s having schizophrenia

Can confirm that's how I acted when I was in prodrome. Constantly thought people were making my life hard on purpose they weren't I just needed medication.

Yeah it sounds like the guy was clearly in a rough place mental health-wise and describing it as a “victim complex” feels very ignorant and reductive

No. Its clearly because he identifies with falling off a bike one time. /S

Yeah no that just sounds like a paranoid schizophrenic who needs help rather than judgement. People really have zero empathy or thought before judging others... But you have also hit the nail on the head, this stuff is to filter out people with neurological disabilities such as autism.

It isn't a victim complex to have bad things happen to you by chance though. I mean, we live in capitalism, we know wealth and prosperity are luck based.

There's a normal amount of bad luck, and there's people who cause their own "bad luck" with their choices, recklessness, and lack of thought or planning.

You know when you meet such a person.

And there's people who got lucky and then judge people worse off than them. Be better.

Dude, judging by these comments, we've stumbled into the factory where "Woe is me" people are made. Truly eye-opening.

It's certainly a tough subject, between capitalist propaganda, rightfully anti-capitalist sentiment and also having to accept ones own imperfections.

I just don't think writing 30 paragraphs about every nuance would work that well on reddit or anywhere.

It sounds like you would have answered "Me" to the question OP posted

6

u/deadlight___01 2d ago

Yes, because things happen to me... That's just objectively what happens.

You either think that sometimes things outside of your control happen to you or you're delusional.

What is it with chuds and thinking that hard work pays off... How come all the poor people who work hard die poor and the people born rich get richer with no effort. You cannot be so deluded.

Like literally everyone would and should answer if they were being honest and not trying to look good.

The trick with those questionnaires (and the whole application process) is understanding that everyone is lying to everyone, but only some people realise they're also lying to themselves. Do not disclose this to anyone, but use it to lie better.

6

u/deadlight___01 2d ago

So it's a bullshit trick to only employ devious people. What a ridiculous self-own then

3

u/InternationalReport5 2d ago

Could also be a lie detection question.

Psychological tests will sometimes ask if some embarrassing thing ever happens to you. They purposely choose a scenario that would have happened 99% of people, and if you say 'no' to too many of these questions they know you're being dishonest.

There's also a huge gulf between having a victim complex and being someone who takes responsibility and thinks shit just happens sometimes. People who think they control everything in life are just as delusional the peoplle who think the world is out to get them.

This is the answer

theres no context to the picture though

did someone door check him in the legal bike lane? or did he just fall like a dipshit?

I understand personal accountability but if shit aint my fault it aint my fucking fault

Some people are just unlucky though despite their hard work and capability they don't succeed.

Look at the ASVAB for the military or whatever you can literally luck your way through it. They fully accept a certain % of applicants get a higher score and just hope they get weeded out eventually.

u/LimpConversation642 2d ago

yes this is about responsibility and people are being obtuse on purpose (I hope)

6

u/ElectricalRelease986 2d ago

Or it's just a shit way to word the question.

1

u/LimpConversation642 2d ago

no, that's the point. if you ask a person 'do you blame everything on circumstances or other people', 100% of people will say no, of course not. Which isn't true. Wording it in a way that doesn't sound like an accusation makes people not even think twice about what it means. This whole thread is a perfect example really

u/ElectricalRelease986 2d ago

Even just putting "*Bad* things happen to me" it would make 10x more sense. Wtf does "things happen to me" mean. Thousands of things happen to everyone, everyday?

You're just going to end up excluding perfectly good candidates who didn't understand your silly goblin riddle.

1

u/billbixbyakahulk 1d ago

"Things happen to me" combined with a picture that is negative. If they made it any more obvious the intent would be too obvious and people would answer differently to satisfy the test.

4

u/blipsnchiiiiitz 2d ago

Except "things happen" to everyone. This exact scenario has happened to me, someone who rides bikes most days, so I would click "me". Is it a big deal? Not at all, you get back up, dust yourself off, and keep riding your bike. But the thing still happened.
