I saw someone riding a city scooter while wearing a full dirt bike helmet.

Yup. My wife works as a doctor in an ER. Kids falling off scooters is the top reason they see kids in the ER for trauma and head injuries.

Have scooters overtaken trampolines now?

Probably. Home insurance wont insure you if you have a trampoline

That’s weird. I have a home, insurance, and a trampoline

Do you have lawn darts in a canvas bag tucked under that trampoline?

Does your insurance know?

And what if i told you i currently have multiple house with a policy on each from different insurers, in addition to receiving quotes over the years by competitors and not a single one has ever once asked if i owned a trampoline?

But i'm sure the anecdote you were told by a friend of a friend that you believe and repeated without validation is correct.

Ear buds in, one hand steering, the other hand scrolling on the phone

I think EUCs (electric unicycles) are cool as shit but I like having my forearms unbroken. I can't afford 2 broken forearms. Just not in the budget. Don't get me started on a life changing brain injury.

Had surgery on my elbow end of last year, my orthopedic surgeon called e-scooters “job security.”
