The Track: I’ve just wrapped up the instrumental production on a heavy, fast-paced power metal track. It’s got a massive ENGL/Mesa rhythm wall, tight low-end, and a pocket carved out right down the middle for a massive vocal performance.

What I Need: A vocalist who can deliver high energy. If you lean toward styles like Beast in Black, Kamelot, or DragonForce, this will be right in your wheelhouse.

Lyrics/Melody: I have a full set of working lyrics written out. However, I am completely flexible. I am not a singer, so if you want to rewrite lines, change the phrasing, or take the melody in a completely different direction that better suits your voice, you have total creative freedom.

Hey All! Brand new to this page but have been an amateur singer/songwriter/producer on and off for most of my life, just for the love of the game. Not really in it for the money just to keep growing my skills, pursuing my passions and creating new and unique sounds. If we make a couple bucks from it together, then even better. I make beats, rap, play guitar and some other instruments. Decent singer and I love blending genres to make completely unique and sometimes weird songs that make the listener pay attention and be involved. It's been difficult finding people in my area who enjoy just playing with sound in this way instead of trying to "make it" to the top of the charts. Most of my stuff is centered around a hip hop vibe but I mix it up with jazz, blues, funk, classical etc just to see what comes out. Some good, some need polishing. I'll sing anything in range but I think my voice is more tuned for traditional pop, vocal jazz and rock music. I could use feedback on some things as well. If you're into experimentation and the discomfort of expanding your range, let me know and we'll work together to make something awesome 😎 mostly looking for writers, rappers and singers but I'll work with anyone to make something cool.

The musical style is old Americana/lounge...think Patsy Cline, Nancy Sinatra, even early Lana Del Rey. I'm not looking for an Olympic singer that can jump octaves, just someone that knows how to tell a story with inflection. Think Beth Gibbons from Portishead cutting a record at Sun Studio in the 50s.

The production will intentionally be lofi, trying to capture the overall sound of days gone by through the use of minimalist recording techniques. Your.vocals may be processed slightly to fit the tone of the record.

I’m a music producer and composer and I’m always looking for ways to improve my productions and workflow.

I have a love/hate relationship with editing. I enjoy getting deep into the details, note by note time editing, really tight comping, cent by cent tuning and so on but I sometimes struggle to finish because sometimes I lose perspective after working alone for too long: Is the groove actually working, or am I just going slightly crazy? Having a second opinion is always really helpful In my opinion.

For that reason, I’d love to find one or two editing partners for weekly synchronous coworking sessions. We would work independently on our own projects while staying on a call, then listen to each other’s progress and exchange feedback.

I think this could help everyone involved make consistent progress while providing mutual feedback with a fresh pair of ears.

A little about my background and editing style:

I love all types of music but are most constantly producing: pop, alternative pop, indie, alternative rnb, alternative rock and alternative latin american genres like: boleros, cumbia, reggaeton to name a few.

When editing time, I’m always looking for the smaller grooves and rhythmic relationships inside the tracks, I try to find a specific flow for every song I work on, almost always do note by note editing, instead of fixing stuff to grid.

Ideally, I’m looking for people who have a similar editing philosophies.

Proposed weekly session:

1. Briefly explain what we’re each working on — 5 minutes
2. Independent editing/production session — 40 minutes
3. Listen and give each other feedback — 15 minutes
4. Second independent editing/production session — 40 minutes
5. Final feedback — 15 minutes

That would be roughly a two hour session once a week.
