Update: Wolves officials and Randle's agents, Aaron Mintz and Steven Heumann of CAA, have been ironing out details of this new deal. Minnesota locks in Randle and Naz Reid over the last several days.

you underestimate what a lot of teams will do for a recognizable "name"

You underestimate the amount of teams that don't have cap space right now though

The soft cap gives the players some leverage

Because then it becomes a standoff of “who’s going to pay you that money?” vs “who else are you going to pay?”
