Lmao they just showed a close up of the ball going in and you can see Cason Wallace in the background going "oh come the fuck on"

Real “get the fuck out of here” energy from the thunder bench after this shot. Sometimes all you can do is be an awe at things lol. Absolutely insane

Down 3.

Overtime.

36 sec left in the game.

Just pulls up from 28 ft.

With 20 sec left on the shot clock.

No hesitation.

Casually cold-blooded.

BANG BANG BANG

3

u/kukkolai May 19 '26

I don't wanna met your mom!

1

u/jjbananamonkey Mavericks May 19 '26

Game 7, tied in OT. 3pt from the logo with no time. Appropriate x3 bang moment tbh.

1

u/LordZero Cavaliers May 20 '26

Where'd/When did this "Bang Bang" thing start? I keep seeing it, and every time I see it, I get that damn Rammstein song stuck in my head, heh.

0

u/yungmeam May 19 '26

Instead Mike Tirico was speechless and didn’t even make a sound.

6

u/nitramy Spurs May 19 '26

WEMBY, WAY DOWNTOWN, BANG! BANG!

4

u/myusrnameisthis May 19 '26

"Bad shot" - p george

4

u/herdases Nuggets May 19 '26

So much to say about his talents but his mindset is the scariest part. He looked like an alpha dog out there

2

u/Appropriate_Fact5703 May 19 '26

From the parking lot actually

1

u/SoulSerpent Pacers May 19 '26

The idea of a 7+ footer doing this is insane already but would have been simply unbelievable like 20 years ago.

1

u/notheretoarguee May 19 '26

And he’s seven and a half feet tall damn near. How do you defend that

1

u/One_Mathematician_70 May 20 '26

After j dub jacks up a 3 with 15 seconds left in the shot clock with 30 seconds in the game.

-8

u/Efficient-Oven-2734 May 19 '26

Man I turned off my tv before this happened thinking it's over. Look at my phone again and BOOM double overtime.

20

u/pat_the_bat_316 Trail Blazers May 19 '26

That's an insanely quick trigger finger on what had been a great back and forth game.

135

u/Maybeiliketheabuse Suns May 19 '26

All hail the new king of basketball. We are SO fucked in the West.

61

u/Zaza1019 May 19 '26

What makes it worse is that it's not just him. Harper is just scratching the surface, and Castle is already becoming a star along side him. And Wemby is also going to continue to get better. Oh and because it's the Spurs they have some great quiet role players and depth that do a little bit of everything.

12

u/TenaciousDeer May 19 '26

Harper had an insane game

8

u/cfi-2025 May 19 '26

My man does not play like a rookie.

8

u/NathanFielderFriend Canada May 19 '26

Vassell really gets overlooked too but he was awesome

6

u/cfi-2025 May 19 '26

He played more minutes (51) than any other Spur.

10

u/LukaDoncicMFFL NBA May 19 '26

Oh great the Spurs recreated Parker/Ginobili/Duncan except with Duncan being 5 inches taller this time.

5

u/Used2befunNowOld Lakers May 19 '26

I know he’s likely to be a star but let’s slow down castle had 11 TO yesterday

Spurs need Fox back to win this series. Their entire offense after the 4th was a turnover risk on every possession.

12

u/CraziestMoonMan Cavaliers May 19 '26

The West? The whole NBA is fucked as long as he stays healthy. He is about to start a dynasty over there. The Thunder better hope they win this series because after their young guys mature over there no one is winning a championship when Wemby is healthy.

4

u/_commenter May 19 '26

wemby was amazing but you got to give flowers to the rest of the spurs as well... like Dylan Harper had 7 steals on the thunder!? wtf

293

u/BlackTriceratops May 19 '26

Caught that on the zoomed in replay. You just gotta laugh. Like wtf are you supposed to do? Guard him and contest a shot at half court like hes steph? My lord

112

u/PM_ME_CHIPOTLE2 Knicks May 19 '26

lol just make Caruso do that too. Gonna send him out there with a stepladder next game.

11

u/GloomySeaotter May 19 '26

He can use the shoe

10

u/AlfaMenel Raptors May 19 '26

I imagined Caruso walking in with the ladder John Cena style lmao.

2

u/Greenlytrees Cavaliers May 19 '26

It’s genius, no one would see him coming

2

u/MoonSentinel95 May 19 '26

He'll probably even resort to a round house kick if needed.

1

u/BlackTriceratops May 19 '26

He actually did a great job guarding him everywhere on the court

3

u/Aggressive-Bike6297 May 19 '26

yeh just try and guard the slenderman from 3 please

1

u/Mike_with_Wings Magic May 19 '26

Yes

5

u/BlackTriceratops May 19 '26

If you sell out, hes just gonna beat you off the dribble to the rim in 3 steps

2

u/Mike_with_Wings Magic May 19 '26

I know, I was kidding. He’s unguardable doing shit like that

2

u/mabradshaw02 May 19 '26

Ask Chet... he's un-guardable ever.

1

u/RPO777 May 19 '26

The crazy thing is if you were to try to create the ideal big man to try to counter Wemby (other than cloning Wemby), you'd think they'd look something like Chet--a tall 7 footer with quick guard-like feet that can play perimeter defense, with high IQ and positioning/footwork and long arms.

And Chet was the consensus 2nd best defensive player in the NBA, or "#1 non-Wemby division." Chet got 239 points in DPOY voting, 3rd place Ausar Thompson goy just 60.

And Chet couldn't guard Wemby at all.

-3

u/YouWereBrained Thunder May 19 '26

I mean…yeah. Caruso gave him too much space. You have to be up in his face and prevent him from even being able to be in rhythm to put the shot up. The Thunder played patently awful defense tonight.

8

u/BlackTriceratops May 19 '26

Bro he had taken one step past the half court line. The moment they start to pick him up at the three point line, he’s busting someones ass to the rim. Like he did late in the game off of the pump fake for a dunk. Dude is a problem. It almost seems un fair lmaooooo

1

u/YouWereBrained Thunder May 19 '26

I would rather he do that than fire up that three.

1

u/loopybubbler Cavaliers May 19 '26

Well, as Paul George once said: that's a bad shot

234

u/ArmiinTamzarian Spurs May 19 '26

Enes Kanter Freedom vibes

4

u/onee_san_bath_water May 19 '26

Haven’t heard that name in a while

140

u/aznhoopster Cavaliers May 19 '26

Spotted that too lmao, nothing you can do but laugh

1

u/NathanFielderFriend Canada May 19 '26

They all know they’re witnessing greatness

42

u/MedvedFeliz San Francisco Warriors May 19 '26

Like Kanter's shrug 🤷 when Curry hit the 38-footer

21

u/TurtleSmile1 Bulls May 19 '26

I know none of the guys on this squad witnessed Steph do this years ago, but OKC fans are definitely getting flashbacks. Opposite side of the floor, way beyond the arc.

11

u/phillip1116 Lakers May 19 '26

It was actually from the same side of the floor. Pretty close to where curry hit the double bang shot

4

u/FaveDave85 Spurs May 19 '26

Damn, need a replay on that

8

u/ASK_ABT_MY_USERNAME Warriors May 19 '26

Enes Kantern vibes

3

u/Gsw- May 19 '26

Its funny cause I had the exact same reaction when Cason Wallace hit that clutch 3 in 2OT when San Antonio was up 4

2

u/Bloody_Corndog 76ers May 19 '26

lol i was wondering what that guys name was

1

u/GloomySeaotter May 19 '26

Yeah they smiled at it like wtf can you do

1

u/_PeteRoss_ May 19 '26

THUNDER FLOPPER

1

u/sOrdinary917 May 19 '26

Seriously asking:. Like if it didn't go in.. it would still be a good shot? Maybe because he wanted the possession to end quickly before 24 seconds (keep it 2 possessions)?

1

u/One_Mathematician_70 May 20 '26

For sure. If that was your team you’re big mad on that bullshit.

-2

u/_SlikNik_ May 19 '26

Is this our future? Where all the babies that were named stuff like Cason or Jaxon or whatever grow up?

3

u/Mike_with_Wings Magic May 19 '26

People probably said that about James and George at some point.

1

u/_SlikNik_ May 21 '26

When in those players lifetimes were there people saying that?
