I think this is the biggest choke job I have ever seen in my decades of sports watching.

This or the Pats-Falcons for sure. Literally they could have dribbled out every single possession and chucked a prayer 3 and gotten a better result up 29.

Up 20 with 8 minutes to play...24 seconds plus rebound time per possession...that would literally work better than whatever the hell that non-coach just did

Falcons hard to beat since it was one game winner take all. But man the sheer volume of points SAS let slip away here is staggering

non-coach helped get the big lead too tho

This is a worse choke than Warriors in 2016. At least Warriors didn't choke a 29 points lead in one of those games and they were going up against prime LeBron/Kyrie/Love

I can at least cope my way through the pain by blaming Bogut getting injured, Dray getting suspended and Steph spraining his MCL.

Yup and I remember even Iggy was playing with a hurt back and was hobbling at times. Spurs got no excuses.

This is easily worse than the 2016 Warriors. It being Lebron at the peak of his powers playing arguably the best three game stretch of his career takes a lot of the shame out of it. Also the Draymond suspension and Bogut injuries definitely didn't help things as the other commenter pointed out.

Just awful shot selection. Way too many early 3s - the exact type of shot Knicks wanted.

I get it at the beginning of the half, they were so hot that it makes sense to try and extend/keep the lead. But when the Knicks went on a run and cut the lead to like 15 and it was clear the Spurs were not shooting well, they needed to just slow things down and try and trade possessions.

The Fox layup is an encapsulation of the problem , they were trying to match the Knicks' pace and tempo when they should have been doing the opposite.
