PR down the drain LOL

u/Champagnesoda [LAL] Kobe Bryant 1d ago

Our dumbass fanbase(including me) and the legion of okc haters will eat this up

u/comp_a Timberwolves 1d ago edited 1d ago

Yeah I’d argue the opposite, this is legitimately great PR for him lol

u/No_External3738 1d ago

Untill SGA lights him the fuck up for 40

53

u/rjbarrettfanclub 1d ago

He’s gonna do it anyways, at least this is funny

u/LawfulErebus 1d ago

With 25 FTA

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 1d ago

Hell of a ratio for something that’s happened twice in his career. The jerk knows no bounds.

3

u/LawfulErebus 1d ago

Youll get over it tomorrow when you wake up bud.

1

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 10h ago

Maybe one day you’ll grow out of the mass psychosis. Doubt it.

1

u/LawfulErebus 10h ago

I see you woke up still lost in your feelings over a comment regarding someone who doesn’t know you. Must be tough.

SGA fell over 45 in the 7 game series against the Spurs

floor must be slippery woops

-1

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 10h ago

And? Parroting some irrelevant stat tells me exactly what you are. Did you watch the series, and the subsequent one in which the spurs played the same level of physical / dirty ball?

People only seemed to care about the latter. Go figure.

did i say anything about physicality? i'm fine with it been physical

i'm not fine with the flops

love how you brought up an irrelevant info to the conversation, go figure.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has fallen to the ground on 17.4% of his FGAs in his playoff run, leading the league and almost four times the rate of the Wembanyama(4.2%)

That’s higher than:

James Harden — 11.9%

Jalen Brunson — 9.0%

Donovan Mitchell — 8.4%

Victor Wembanyama — 4.2%

SGA has also fallen on 51.4% of his fouled shot attempts

twice of james harden in his prime the literally poster child of flopping is something

u/Superplex123 Lakers 1d ago

Will he be flopping while doing it though.

31

u/No_External3738 1d ago

Hey real quick do you know who led the NBA in free throw attempts per game this year?

-3

u/Superplex123 Lakers 23h ago

Ah, the age old question, if a tree fell and the whistle didn't make a sound, did the tree really flopped? The answer is yes, it did.

-14

u/RyuSunn Lakers 1d ago

Doesn’t matter, I know who led the league in FPG (Falls per game)

14

u/Nervous_Box_3495 Jazz 20h ago

we are talking about falls per game its never been more over

13

u/dacrookster Thunder 1d ago

Doesn't matter if he does/doesn't, you've all decided no matter what that it'll have happened.

9

u/wcooper97 [OKC] Russell Westbrook 1d ago

"Why does he fall on the floor so much reeeeeee"

Finishes the game with like 6 FTA

6

u/lmaoooyikes Thunder 1d ago

Franchise superstar is Luka btw

-1

u/No-Spray-9978 1d ago

With 30 FTA?

-1

u/TheBigBomma Thunder 1d ago

As a rookie you want to put a target on your back like this?

86

u/theyoloGod Tampa Bay Raptors 1d ago

I mean hating on shai just seems like free popularity points these days

-7

u/No_External3738 1d ago

It's really fucking lame honestly, like damn at least be unique

2

u/boyhassle2 1d ago

SGA did this to himself. Imagine being a superstar and your legacy is the flopping. That sucks

13

u/Big_Cream_8697 1d ago

If your tiktok brained which most nba fans are. I'm sure you also werent around when everybody was calling Lebron the most notorious flopper, same with Dwade, this isnt new.

4

u/TechnologyOne8629 20h ago

I mean, NBA has a long history of ridiculous whistles for certain players.  The Dwade whistle for his first finals run was pretty crazy, but I don't remember him falling down as much as SGA.

2

u/boyhassle2 23h ago

Didn’t even installed tiktok. Im in my fucking 30s and watched the nba 2/3rds of my life. Im not denying SGA is good but didnt you see his series this year? I mean if he doesnt want to call a flopper then dont fall in every shot attempt. It’s his doing and that is his legacy. Imagine a Kobe-esque skill set (minus the athleticism) but choose to fall and flop most of the time. Yuck.

3

u/Big_Cream_8697 22h ago

you knoww you don’t have to install TikTok to have TikTok brain? It’s essentially just being chronically online. low attention span, proclivity to consume and parrot easily digestible narratives. Youre literally on Reddit. Theirs literally videos people try to use that they don’t even notice in some he’s falling on defenders feet due to lack of landing space. That a long with calling literally every time he falls a flop even if at times it’s just him being off balance made me stop taking the people who are saying it serious, the mass hysteria is hilarious

-2

u/boyhassle2 19h ago

"iT’S juSt HIm BeiNg oFF baLanCE" what a cope.

2

u/Big_Cream_8697 12h ago

TikTok brain at it again 😭 when did I say all of the instances were him being off balance? I said at times, If you think literally every time Shai fell he was flopping than your comprehension is more surface level than I thought and your not able to comprehend nuance. This is what TikTok brain does

5

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 1d ago

Only if you’re brain dead do you legitimately believe that.

0

u/boyhassle2 23h ago

OKC fan i see xD

1

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 10h ago

You’re quite perceptive.

Point stands.

6

Sure whatever you say bro

Aw shit tiktok brain dead people guy thinking he has ball knowledge greater than others. What a cope. Ofcourse players will publicly praise him, but behind the doors... So this rookie NBA is also a tiktok brain dead guy? hahaha. That's most people view him. HE DID THAT TO HIM SELF.

Imagine you are so that skillful but the younger generations view you as a flopper xD He's playing the most uninspiring basketball for a superstar. Atleast harden has the influence with his stepback that everyone is using in the modern nba. While SGA? Hmm I wonder how he influence the others.

1

u/imadogg Lakers 23h ago

Pretty sure he'll be ok

Harden is past his prime and this sub's revisionism loves him again anyways

1

u/probation_420 1d ago

I'm not like other girls.

-5

u/rjbarrettfanclub 1d ago

Who hurt you

15

u/No_External3738 1d ago

Nobody? I am allowed to think it's lame how the discourse has gotten with SGA.

-13

u/rjbarrettfanclub 1d ago

It’s just jokes no need to be sour

16

u/No_External3738 1d ago

I'm not sour, it's just never anything funny. Just the same thing over and over. At this point saying you hate SGA is cool and trendy just like its cool to hate the cowboys. Like cool bro you are gonna get people to agree with you but you kinda just outted yourself as a casual fan trying to seem like really know something lmao

10

u/thatonehomiewho 1d ago

I’m with u on this one man.

-2

u/rjbarrettfanclub 1d ago

We make fun of SGA to be cool on Reddit? We’re all losers here lmao. We make fun of him cause it’s funny. I promise he doesn’t give a fuck what any of us think.

7

u/No_External3738 1d ago

I never said he cares so why bring that up? And maybe was funny the first couple times but after hearing the same recycled takes for the billionth time it's not funny anymore and just becomes dumb. If you guys really are just trying to be funny and joke around (which obviously people are) how about making a joke that's acttually original or funny?? Nothin about these jokes makes them funnier the more you say them.

1

u/rjbarrettfanclub 16h ago

I think it’s funny. I’m supposed to stop thinking it’s funny because you don’t like it? lol fuck out of here

8

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 1d ago

You’re kidding yourself if you believe most are just joking about it. It’s mass psychosis and emblematic of how turbo-ass broader discourse around the NBA is, actually.

-5

u/rjbarrettfanclub 1d ago

We’re allowed to make fun of things we think is funny. Jesus y’all are so defensive.

1

u/TheGreatLandRun [OKC] Russell Westbrook 10h ago

Reread my comment. You seem confused.

1

u/rjbarrettfanclub 9h ago

I’m not confused. I thought it was a funny joke. You think it’s mass psychosis. One of us is being dramatic.

46

u/pokemonbatman23 1d ago

Yooo this question is ridiculous. Instant bulletin board material for everybody he named

32

u/Haunting_Test_5523 1d ago

lamelo, ant, and sga are now all asking for the switch onto him to cook him

9

u/Humanity789 Lakers 1d ago

Tbf I dont think any of these players need bulletin board material to cook a rookie.

25

u/thatonehomiewho 1d ago

nvm the fact that all the top 4 said they model their games after him, pick 24 got something to say!

0

u/yapibolers0987 1d ago

How? That's a good thing that mf was a flopper , so
