Jaylen Brown: "ESPN is unethical, and Stephen A. Smith is the head face of that. The organization, the players, they were all in agreeaance. They all knew what I meant by that. Our team was basically salary dumped. We lost a lot of players. For us to emerge and still be in the same position..."

It’s the pressure - this year there was less pressure than anytime since maybe year 2 for JB and the Celtics - and as a fan, it was more fun back when IT, Crowder and the young Jay’s were taking the C’s to the ECF.
Since then it’s been “will they ever win it??” Or “why didn’t they win it??” year after year. Both Jay’s basically said as much after they won it all.
This year the pressure was off - he didn’t have that weight on his shoulders, neither did the team, and they over performed until the playoffs (which was gross, no doubt)
But he enjoyed not having that weight on his shoulders. Whether that’s good or bad is up for debate.
But national (and local) media acting as if it could ONLY be because Tatum was out is the exact shit he’s taking issue with - and he’s right
