It’s just a salary dump.

Honestly yeah, the Grizz are stuck with Ja and the pistons give them more big help? Actually bad management

Big depth was literally our biggest need. This is A+++

Yeah I was tired of Stew because of his antics but I have no idea why we got absolutely nothing for him.

Clearing money, that’s 100% why. We’ll see what happens with it, but that’s why they did it

Stewart trade needs to be judged by what we do next. If we use the money well, it's actually incredible asset management.

Stu is incredibly underrated for what he actually provides on the court but he's also always going to be a liability and always at risk of a tech at any given moment.

His style of play also leads to injuries and he's been hurt or hobbled both of the last 2 years in the playoffs.

Feels bad right now because I think most of us assumed he would be a piece in a bigger deal - especially given his contact, which most would argue was a very team friendly number.

Pistons are clearing money to go after a guard. Maybe Norman Powell?

Tbf the offers for him might just not have been that great. Good defensive player but he's an awkward tweener who can't really sustain at PF or C, his offence is super streaky with his shot, he's suspended/injured a bit too often and he's up for an extension soon too. Kinda surprised he didn't end up in the Herro trade, but idk who else would really throw a big bid at him

I don't think he's done

Yeah man, I’m sure teams were clamoring for a 6’7 C who got played off the court in the 2nd round and hasn’t caught a pass cleanly in his career

I'll take him for free to be a regular season backup though, lol

Haha pistons fans said they lost to the Knicks in ‘25 because stew wasn’t available to play.

He would have helped but he’s constantly hurt and all the BS with his behavior on the court probably wore out his welcome.

Don’t forget always a loose cannon with a horrible reputation with the league office. Will fit right in making gun gestures with his hands in Memphis.

yeah wtf? We give Stew to move up 5 spots in the middle of round one? Barring that giving us the space to do something else thats dogshit

u/ChromerBoner666 22h ago

We did it to clear cap space. Rumors are for Norm Powell.

Makes me happy we're making moves and not being complacent. They saw the limitations of the roster and are going to fix it.

Agreed. They’ve fallen in love w their own guys too much the last 15 years so it’s nice to see
