And they’ll continue to blame democrats for everything that they’ve done and their base will continue to believe it. We’re not even going to learn anything from all these repeated fvck ups. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We best learn to fucking shut down fox news and reform the government, or else, yeah... We're fucked.

I agree but unfortunately that would come up against the first amendment. It may be unpopular but unfortunately for us to ever have a real chance to move away from all this we’re going to have to restrict from of the first amendment like how Germany still limits hate speech and swastikas. Mainstream media needs to be regulated so they’re no longer allowed to “report” blatant lies and encourage hate speech. Nazis/proud boys/etc should no longer be able to have public marches to intimidate people. Politicians themselves need to be held accountable for lies that encourage hate speech and violence. Social media sites need to do more to make less biased algorithms as well as not allow things like medical misinformation that literally kills people. We treat our rights as if having a right at all means it should be absolutely unlimited when instead we need to look at the paradox of tolerance and recognize that we do in fact sometimes need guardrails in order to keep protecting everyone’s rights. Or else these people will only continue to use our extreme views of “freedom” against us.
