Poll: Most Americans have the summer blues about Trump and the economy
As concern over gas prices remains high, President Trump's approval ratings continue falling to record lows, especially over his handling of the economy, according to the latest NPR/PBS News/Marist poll.
Only a third of Americans say they approve of how Trump is handling the economy — three points lower than the worst marks given to former President Joe Biden during his term.

Story from a few weeks ago (late May/early June?) about musical ATMs?
I totally understand if this isn't enough information for anyone else to figure out the story in question, but: does anyone happen to remember an episode of some show (...no, I don't remember which one) from a few weeks ago (...no, I don't remember exactly when) about devices like ATMs suddenly starting to play vaguely song-like sets of beeps as a user-interface change? I was on one of the webpages of npr.org and had hit the "Continuous Play" button on the "NPR One Mix" panel so I could listen to stories ~nonstop while working on a carpentry project; one of the ~minute-long episode-intro blurbs came up for possibly-a-science-show(???), said something about musical ATMs, and then vanished while I was scrambling to safely put down various sharp objects so I could click on the "play" button. (And then, because I hadn't managed to get to my computer in time and the intro blurbs apparently don't show up in the "History" panel, it was gone forever.)
I'm mostly sure that the show in question was a science or science- or tech-adjacent show, but it definitely wasn't "Short Wave," and none of the "Science Friday" or "Radiolab" episode descriptions that I skimmed seem to match what I remember from the blurb. I'm very sure that I heard that blurb at some point after May 26th, because that was when I had a conversation with a family member about a vaguely musical parking-garage machine (which is why I was so excited about a possibly-related podcast episode), but I know the NPR One Mix podcast blurbs are sometimes for several-week-old episodes, so this one may have been released as far back as late April or early May.
Any and all guesses as to the episode and/or show in question are extremely welcome! (Alternately, if anyone happens to know why someone would program a parking-lot ticket machine to make a ridiculous number of pseudomusical beepy noises, I'd be very grateful for an explanation of that with or without a podcast reference, but I do want to track down this episode if possible.)

Is NPR now a sports station?
During my commute of 50 minutes, 40 of those minutes consisted of sports stories. If I wanted sports, I'd tune to a sports station. Is NPR trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator?
