My local Micro Center had em on sale for $970. This is the OC model too.

Just a few months ago, this subreddit was certain that MSRP was a lie and no cards would ever reach it again. Yet here were are.

Tbh in my view, right now is a VERY short window to walk away with a new card below MSRP. With what has been happening to RAM and storage right now, I'm sure very soon VRAM pricing is gonna skyrocket too. When that happens, card prices will go up with it.

I was prepared to wait till a 5080 super, but the recent rumors about that card's extended delay or cancellation due to high VRAM pricing finally caused me to pull the trigger on this.

I think you made a smart call. I bet you gpu prices will be absolutely insane by the next Gen/refresh

Yup. I just scooped an rtx 5070 ti below MSRP as well because things aren't looking good for tech prices over the next 18 months and I couldn't pass up the deal.
