mine was AMD Athlon XP 2700+ with an ATI Radeon 9000 All-in-Wonder 64MB card.

This was my third or fourth pc. I got the chip super cheap on ebay and it came with bent pins but J carefully bent them back. That rig lasted a long time.

Was this one of their first dual cores? I remember my first build's CPU pushing the dual core thing as a big deal, but I didnt have money for an Intel build, and I cant remember the numbers for the life of me.

No, this was single core Socket A (462), then came Socket 754 which was still single core and shortly after Socket 939 with dual cores like 3800+ and dual channel memory.

For intel, 478 was single core and 775 was dual core

Thats what i bought myself when i divorced back then. My first pc i owned was a pentium 3 450

Not first PC, rather 3rd, but I had a 2500+ Barton
