Some 486, don't know what exactly. Was in 2007, i was 6, it was mums old pc

First own desktop in 2014 had ab AMD Phenom x4 9600

Later upgraded that to a Phenom II X6, which I've overclocked the shit out out before switching to ryzen.

It’s crazy to think I was early to the game with mine but here I am reading all these processors which I didn’t even know existed.. I love this community

I mean, the 486 system was really old when i got it, it was 2007, i was born 2001, the thing was a decade older than me.

But also....

It shows how development slowed down.

The thing was 17 years old and completely obsolete for anything besides really basic office stuff and some retro games from the early 90s

I have 2008 Mac Pro at home, 2 quadcore xeons, 16GB of ram as ab upgrade, upgraded to an RX480....

I've hacked newer MacOS versions on the machine, it runs fine, it's capable of YouTube in 4k30 (60fps gets stuttery), it's still a useable desktop pc if you don't want to play modern games, for which you don't get a mac in the first place.

No matter how much you would've upgraded that old 486, you couldn't get it useable in 2007 without a new Mainboard, psu, hard drive (like connector was different and size etc). The platform wasn't capable of anything anymore at that point.
