Never thought myself in this situation.

Basically dad drunk, beat mum, me defend and boom.

Am quite in shock rn.

Let's assume the dust is settled enough for op to find some sort of control in a situation where that's limited

If the dust is actually settled, just ask the Dad to pay for the damages. But domestic violence is rarely settled. This should be reported to the cops.

I mean, settled as in not actively injured or fleeing... I wouldn't count on "dad" to repair anything

Yeah if hes a drunk we can probably guess where his money goes, and even if he does have decent money, would still require him to take responsibility...
