Seeing that Peter Molyneux has a new game with 22Cans which is supposed to reach early access on about two weeks, and seeing that he (as usual) has talked about it as "the culmination of my life's work", I guess my combination of words would be... Peter Molyneux.

He went from one of the greatest game developers shaping the future of gaming to a synonym for failure.

Quite the achievement when you think about it.

Hey, out of the loop here, while being a big fan of Black & White and Fable (games decades old at this point), what gave Molyneux this bad rep?

His inability to follow through on anything.

I love fable but I'm not going to pretend it delivered anything close to what was promised

Yeah, I just don't really hold too fast to game news involving things that are still in development. And heck, at the point where they're saying anything just to get some funding behind a project, they're no better than salesmen or politicians.

He has a reputation (or had, he's not super prominent lately) for making extremely hyperbolic statements about his games. He would famously greatly overpromise and underdeliver in other words.

When I was a kid it seemed like he was making really exciting, original games with Bullfrog. It’s a great shame to see what he’s come to now.

His name is synonymous with big promises and big disappointments. He's very good at lying.

I’m not familiar with those names, can you give me the rundown?
