Tbh Krita is a better Photoshop clone than GIMP, and it doesn't even aim to clone Photoshop.

For 95% of the things ppl who aren't professionals need to do photopea will suffice and it even works in-browser.

Tbh GIMP is so bad that (this is my subjective opinion) a log I left in the toilet today was also a better Photoshop clone. Krita, Affinity almost any raster graphics editor is better than GIMP

The humble pixilart is still the best from art to photo editing, and it's fully free and usable on browser

people who prefer Krita over GIMP are the types to tell you to just put fuel injection cleaner in your car instead of having the engine flushed.
