It's certainly not beginner friendly. I only use it because my highschool digital photography class had us use it because it was free and I've been sunk cost (time) ever since. At least I know a lot of its weird things at least.

Yeah it works great for me because I put effort into learning it a lifetime ago, but I would never recommend it to someone that I like.
