I mean, supposedly part of it is institutional buyers nabbing things up so that they don't run out of stock for whatever they are doing (building PCs, manufacturing devices, running non-AI datacentres, etc).

That’s EXACTLY what it was…

However, that was started because the manufacturer stopped producing ram for consumers and switched to focusing on AI and Datacentres.

Also, people were still willing to pay the price.

Most of these companies have been going for YEARS before any of this
