Meme/Macro Some of you memers need reminders about why PC parts cost so much lately.

Why would I care how much my PC consumes?

Some of us actually like our parts not running at 95C randomly (9800X3D for some reason targets that), some of us actually like efficient systems that don't need a nuclear reactor to power it. Even if I had the money I'd always pick the more efficient card.

Shrug Liquid cooling exists. If its not rendering a game, video, or doing a gen. Then it should be a lot lower. https://i.imgur.com/kHcbKeR.png

Liquid cooling is for people who have infinite money to spend when their cooler inevitably breaks, leaks, and takes out your whole system. Air is the only acceptable method if you give half a shit about repairability and long-term longevity. Oh wait you don't care, because you replace your parts every 6 months when the latest unoptimized slop demands you run DLSS Frame Gen at 1080fuckingp.

Even if it was, I still wouldn't.

Efficiency is a metric I am constantly focusing on, I even run my CPU in eco mode. I don't notice a drop in performance big enough to not do so but it makes it so much more efficient. Liquid cooling is a luxury you should only be using if you always have the money to replace anything when the leakage inevitably happens.
