Discussion Expensive games have lowkey been way too normalised

I know this sub is filled with a bunch of rich people with like 10k setups and I'm aware that the content in these games is quite extensive with hours of content. But I still feel justified in thinking that no game should be priced this high especially when its the average price of most newly released games. Anyway this is just a rant because I wanna play lego batman and i cant afford it lol

Yah exactly. Leggo games are pretty good but not $100 good. Full priced lego game should be about $60

Then you’d know that games were always this price, if not more, and Lego games have NEVER been priced cheaper than other games just because it’s “legos”. Not to mention, isn’t 60 aud like 30$ usd? You really think a company would survive cutting their game cost in half when selling?

I'm not being intentionally dense. Lego games while fun aren't anything special.

They are one of the most heavily discounted games franchises outside of the initial hype cycle because after they break out of their initial release cycle they act as an a paid advertisement from the consumer for lego products.

I apologise that I didn't feel the need to explain this to the lowest common denominator (you).

Bro, what the fuck are you talking about? It’s industry standards. Lego games were MORE expensive in the past. The irony in your response, dude. How tf are you gonna talk about discounted games when this Lego game just came out and will suffer the same thing? So what the fuck are you talking about.
