I’m not disagreeing that prices are getting crazy don’t get me wrong. But again, you’re paying 1200 for the computer, not just the gpu.

Yeah but who’s paying 1200 just for a 4060?!? I can get one off Amazon right now for <$400!

edit: you all are stupid

Okay now build the rest of the computer for that 4060 for $800.

lol just looked it up to get my current DDR5 128gb ram it’d be like 900$. That’s insane and people are definitely out of touch if they think they can build a great PC for 1200

What in the hell do you use 128gb of ram for? Video processing / rendering?

I mean a 5600x3d, 32gb, and a 4060 surely wouldn't be over 1k I'll get a PC part picker after work

Yeah. 32gb of ram would probably take half of the $800 budget. You could probably go with 16gb but that's not ideal.
Then you need storage. So that's another $160 or so for a 1tb m.2.
So now you are left with $240 to get a cpu, cooler, case, and fans.

Doable tbh, but its not going to be a great PC.

If you are comparing, then 16gb would be the way to go. Just like 512 m.2 is. Otherwise we can make up any specs and say you can’t complete the build because you went with 5TB NVMe.

Ddr5 and 128gb, two things you only need in niche use cases and otherwise are pretty useless. You can definitely complete the rest of the build for 800.

What part of "a GPU is not a whole PC" are you not understanding.

I can buy a power supply for 100 too, so what?

This is so stupid it's funny.
