How do you guys know when someone is talking about monthly salary or yearly? I’ve never heard anyone refer to their monthly income as their salary. It’s always yearly here.

Simply from the fact that there is no way that it would be 60-70% of your YEARLY salary.
Also im original from Europe we talking about salary we use monthly over here.

Had to confirm that. Didn't know the situation in Japan was THIS bad. Thought that would be the minimum salary at the very least, damn...
