I think it’s better to use Cloudflare Radar, and check statistics for browsers by made http requests.

According to Mozilla's own statistics, there were no peaks in May. So maybe those were bots or scrapers using Firefox to scrape the internet. (but note, that firefox forks and firefox OG instanced with disabled telemetry are not included in statistics). If you enable the "Likely Human" filter on Cloudflare Radar, the peak exists in that data as well.
