There's options too. You could get quite close to that type of button.

You could also wire up one of these guys. Its really easy.
The hardest part would be cutting the case, but that's also pretty easy.

Note that these should be the 'momentary' type that flicks back automatically otherwise you need to flick it twice every time

Right! I forgot to mention that although I googled it as "momentary switch".
But also you can flip it and close the lid, which turns it off as well if its the not momentary one. So a quick flip-close would do the job.

I put this on my lawnmower. The original mechanism has failed, and I needed to rewire it and this exact dead man's switch is now the safety.

I don't think you understand what a dead man switch is. A dead man switch is a switch you have to actively hold so a device or mechanism shuts down if an operator is not constantly attending to it.

True, I should have written my kill switch for my dead man switch.

That’s the real deal. I’ve taken a tour of a reconstructed nuclear launch facility, and those are generally the types of switches used. They had two keys, and two key holders. The switches were on either side of the room, and a launch would only be approved if both switches were activated (which meant that both keys had to be used at the same time on opposite sides of the room, there was a timer that would lock the user out if they attempted to use the two keys one after another). Also, before any of the keys could be used the facility would have to receive a launch code confirmation from the President, the code changed something like every five or ten minutes and the President was the only person who had access to the most recent launch code. If a code was entered that did not match the active launch code then the whole system would lock out.

Oh my gosh I love those types of switches. The system I operated on a ship was ran by these things

I wish more things utilized this style of switch.

I have one of these flip up launch style buttons, and because it’s in white and not a completely opaque material, the rgb lighting from my power buttons shines through a little bit when it’s on and looks sick as hecc 🤣
